6. Use of cookies
We use cookies to control the functionality of our websites and to analyze the behavior of visitors to our Internet site and mobile application. Cookies (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP-Cookie ) are textual information or short data packets that almost all websites on the World Wide Web use when you visit their websites via your internet browser. There are several types of cookies that are used on BITESGURU website: these are called “necessary cookies” and “third-party cookies”. Necessary cookies are exchanged between your web browser and the web server. They are required to ensure the functionality of our website, especially those of the shopping cart. Without these cookies, for example, your shopping cart would be deleted again if you visit other pages of our web site before paying.
The “necessary cookies” are also called “session cookies”. “Session cookies” are characterized by the fact that they are automatically deleted from your hard disk after the end of your browsing session, i.e., when you have finished the booking process and after you leave our website.
In addition to session cookies, which are essential for ensuring the functionality of our shopping cart and the cookie banner, there are third-party cookies on our websites (also called “third-party cookies”) such as Google and Facebook. These Cookies act as either temporary or permanent (lifetime 14 days to 10 years), they remain on your hard drive and are used to analyze and improve our Internet offerings and interest-based marketing activity. The information stored in the temporary cookies (as described below) is analyzed by third-party algorithms so that, among other things, targeted interest-related product recommendations can be displayed in the form of advertisements on third-party websites. In the temporary
cookies, only pseudonymized or anonymous information – such as which pages that we have offered to you have actually been visited you, which browser you use, the IP address of your computer. However, these temporary or permanent cookies never allow the identification of personal data, such as name, address, email address, etc. In addition, the technical specifications stipulate that the server can only read a cookie that has been sent by the latter. The temporary cookies of third parties are automatically deleted after the prescribed time.
In order to use our services, you must accept the “necessary cookies”. We therefore recommend that you permanently activate cookies for our website. You do not have to make any special settings in your browser so that cookies can be stored on your computer. Your browser accepts cookies by default and stores them, for example, in a directory called “Temporary Internet Files,” as they pose no security risk. However, you can disable the storage of cookies and set your web browser to notify you when new cookies are sent to you. For further information, please refer to the help dialog of your browser, which you will find for the most popular web browsers under the following links:

The data is stored on our servers. Non of this data is available to third parties. The information is used to analyze and maintain the technical operation of our servers and the network and to prevent abuse. Your IP address will be automatically deleted or anonymized after use. Anonymization in this context means that the individual details of personal or factual circumstances can be seen on our website, you consent to the use of cookies and thus the collection, longer or only with a disproportionate amount of time, costs and labor of a specific or identifiable natural person can be assigned.
8. Use of Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web and mobile app service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses temporary or permanent cookies (see also chapter 6). Using the information (including your IP address) stored in the cookies, Google will analyze the use of our web pages or mobile app by you. The information collected by the cookie is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. BITESGURU.com uses Google Analytics exclusively with the extension “_anonymizeIP ()”, so that IP addresses are processed only shortened. Your IP address will be shortened in advance by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there.
Google uses this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on our website and activities, and to provide us with other services related to the use of websites. The IP address provided by Google Analytics as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Transfer of this data by Google to third parties takes place only due to legal regulations or in the context of order data processing. By using our web pages, you agree to the processing of the data collected about you by Google and the manner described above, the data processing and the stated purpose.

Data collection and storage by Google Analytics may be objected to at any time with future effect. You have the option to install a browser plugin published by Google. This is available for different browser versions and may be downloaded at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de .
We continue to use Google Analytics to analyze data from AdWords for statistical purposes. If you do not want us to do so, you can disable this function from the Ads Preferences Manager http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=en .
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement, which provides a guarantee to comply with European privacy legislation ( https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active). For more information about privacy related to Google Analytics, see the Google Analytics Help Center https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
9. Use of Google Adwords
BITESGURU.com website may use the Google AdWords online advertising program and Google AdWords conversion tracking. Google Conversion Tracking is an analytics service provided by Google Inc. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie will be placed on your machine. These cookies contain no personal data and are therefore not used for personal identification.
If you visit certain web pages on our website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we may recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Thus, there is no way that cookies can be tracked through the websites of advertisers.
The information gathered using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords advertisers who have opted for conversion tracking. It tells customers the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.
If you do not want to participate in the tracking, you can object to this use by preventing the installation of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser software (deactivation option). You will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. For more information about Google’s privacy policy, please visit : https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
10. Use of the Facebook tracking pixel
For the evaluation and support of our online marketing activities on or via Facebook, a “Facebook tracking pixel” is incorporated on this website, published by Facebook (Inc.) and is provided and evaluated. When you visit our pages, the tracking pixel establishes a direct link between your browser and the Facebook server. Among other things, Facebook receives the information from your browser that our website has been called up by your device. If you are a Facebook user, Facebook may assign your visit to our pages to your account. Likewise, Facebook can see in the session, whether a Facebook ad has an effect, e.g., led to an online purchase. For this purpose we receive strictly statistical data from Facebook without reference to a specific person. This happens for purposes of advertising effectiveness, market research and needs-based design of our website. Follow-up using the pixel is done in a way that does not allow us to identify you as a person and marks users only in anonymized form as visitors to our website. Facebook uses cookies. Facebook stores and uses the data collected by the pixel. This is at least partly outside the territorial scope of the EU data protection rules. For more information on the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your options to protect your privacy, please refer to the privacy policy of Facebook, which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation are.

This will only transfer your data when you click on one of the plug-in buttons (recommend, share, invite a friend, etc.) – and only if you are already registered with a social network and have visited it before. Otherwise, no data transfer takes place.
